Job Description
The analyst will be responsible for announcing time sensitive, market-moving information in English to the firm̢۪s pool of 1100 plus traders worldwide using various financial news sources.
This is a position of celebrity once the analyst has established his or her competency. The analyst has a direct affect on trader profit or loss based on the accuracy and speed of their analysis.
Analyze and interpret financial data.
Answer traders̢۪ questions on news stories or financial data.
When successful, will be delegated high level research projects to analyze on behalf of upper management.
Compose a daily news bulletin (which contains current news, economic data, upgrades and downgrades).
Act as a liaison between on-the-scene reporters and the Newsdesk.
The ideal candidate must be a quick thinker, proactive and able to work under extreme pressure.
Must posses a strong and clear voice supported by effective communication.
Desired Candidate Profile
Must have the desire to be a central figure in the success of the firm.
Must have some basic knowledge of the financial markets and posses a strong passion for business news.
Must be bright, resourceful, determined, resilient and able to bring fresh ideas. Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines are essential.
Addition to reporting the news, this will provide an excellent opportunity for you to learn about other aspects of the market.
Candidate should be well rounded in current events and business news.
